Account Disabled?

After much searching, I can't find information about why accounts are "disabled" or what can be done if they are.

My Romanian friend who has a free SL account and spends a lot of time there with me, was suddenly logged out yesterday, told she couldn't log in again for an hour -- and then was told her account was disabled. I know she has done nothing wrong.

When I called SL support to try to help her (because she's in Romania and doesn't trust her English), they told me they'll say absolutely nothing about another person's account.

Please, can you give any information about "account disabled"?

There's really not much more too it, It means what it says.

And you will never know why it was disabled. Your friend has to contact LL herself to figure it out.

I understand you want to help a friend, but you must also understand that LL can't give out information about other people’s accounts.

I am not familiar with how it works, but if LL has suspended her account, are they not sending an email to her? Maybe not giving out details, but something like "Your account has been suspended while we investigate xxx".

a asset server update was happening in the past few days from time to time, avatars where kicked off because it was effecting their inventory items, I had to wait 3 hours to return, hopefully it was only this and they can now get back in.

it is entirely possible that the account isn't properly logged off, and it will give you the account disabled error each time you log in. You or a friend can contact LIVE CHAT and have your avatar logged off by Linden Lab.
