HELP! missing alot of my stuff after moving

I moved yesterday and what i did was hit return objects rather then picking them all up now i cant find any thing anywere?

I had it it my house when i hit return objects.

I thought things were supposed to be returned in the Lost + Found folder in this circumstance. Your things aren't there?

Everything *should* be in your Lost & Found folder, but in one or more "coalesced" objects--collections of objects that show as a little stack of blocks icon, and named for one of the possibly many objects inside.

Your stuff has coalesced into one huge object, most likely named one of the objects that you clicked. Check both your Lost and Found and the Objects folder. You'll probably need to find a quiet Sandbox to rez the coalesced object (it looks like a stack of blocks in your Inventory). Beware! All items will rez in exactly the same space relative to the base prim that they were when you returned them! This means you'll need plenty of space and no griefers while you sort stuff out.

Good luck and don't feel bad; we've all done it.

Hate to say it, but what you did is absolutely the WORST way to pick up your stuff when you move.

Also note that any of your coalesced objects that contain one-prim Linden Plants can only be rezzed on land where you have the ability to create Linden Plants. Which means most Sandboxes will not work for that recovery.

And the "center" of the coalesced object is the root prim of whatever object in that lump it happens to think was selected last - totally random, in the case of most "Return all objects" cases. So you may end up having to re-rez those lost and found things in an extremely large sandbox, or you may have to rez somewhere other than dead center in the sandbox, if the original parcel was a large one.

If you need a place to rez your coalesced items, I have a sim with room to do so. Say the word and I'll have my estate manager add you to the group so you can rez.

I dont see the lil boxed anywere in lost and found or objects?

It's not uncommon for things to just go missing entirely as well (support can't help and you'll never convince them it's not due to coalescing anyway). Don't trust return for anything you care to keep and just multi-select "Take" next time.

In the meanwhile: Edit / Preferences - Network tab - Clear Cache and relog into a quiet full water sim (Somewhere like Hahne, Kara, etc). Open your inventory, type something random in the search box (helps fetching if you change the text there everyone now and then) and wait for it to turn from "xxxx fetched" to "xxx items".

Then look at your Lost & Found again and just rez anything that's there.

I don't know if this helps but I've had things absolutely disappear from existence only to reappear weeks later in my lost and found folder.

Nope still nothing no lil boxed no nothing,great SL just ate about 20,000 lin worth of stuff

Patience, Rebel. It will all show up. Have you logged off, cleared cache, then relogged? Try deleting the ENTIRE cache folder.
