Hi all, ok, for any, all serious biz owners who are actively involved in sl I would propose that those interested start exchanging prims for sale with other biz's on equal exchange. Ex. I have 10 boxes of items I sell placed at another persons mall ,store , biz and allow then to set 10 boxes at my place. This of course could be with multiple stores, allowing for much greater exposure, more choices for the shopper. There are a few issues to sort out like the cost of items , placement of for sale items etc but we at Fhelzgud are colaborating with Blue Water in such a fashion and would be interested in doing more. If interested let's talk. Ok, second thing; Every day I check prim count to rid of unwanted creations and to monitor rudy's prim use (she has a problem (addiction) ). This in mind prompts me to suggest a 12 step prim addiction program . First of course, must be an admission that one has a problem "hi my name is Ray Musketeer , and I am a prim whore), then maybe an exposee on how they may sell their soul for just one more prim to make lol. Course, resitivism rate may be high lol continue on rofl

i do alot of 'commision' sales in my shops.
ppl who make items that fit with my stores theme, we use a 'split pay' script so when someone buys the item in my store the script automatcly pays the person who made the item a percentage of the purchase price.
its really simple & easy to set up a split pay vendor. there are scripts to do it posted here in teh scripting forums

The only known cure for being a prim whore is buying your own sim.

again looking for biz mall or store owners who actively market (set events, run classifieds etc )and want to exchange sales boxes, items and yes I have a split profit script as well. also have ran the free public yard sale in which all builders were able to put out 20 prims for free with no split of their sales and no clubs to join. Now talking exposure!!!!. I want other items in my store so I can offer my shoppers more choices. If, you are a serious biz owner, who works at getting shoppers (not traffic) and get what I am saying please let's talk, if you are a store owner who thinks I want a place in their store , you missed the point.

I'd be a little more selective in who I trade objects with. They ought to be at least somewhat related, or else everybody's store is going to look like a clone of Yadni's Junkyard...everyone will be selling everything.
I'm addicted to prims. They're sooo pretty, and I want to display them ALL! That means, of course, that I'm addicted to land, too. Gotta have the meters to rez the primz.
I wonder if this is how Desmond got started with Caledon? Because he simply HAD to?

From: Raymond Figtree The only known cure for being a prim whore is buying your own sim. Ray I think all forum regulars know by now that buying your own sim doesn't lead to a cure, but rather 21 prim beer mugs

okay I see the idea isn't very clear so let me try to clear up some misconceptions; I am not saying give your items for sale to someone to sell for you. Lets say I have 10 boxes for sale, you have ten boxes for sale, I allow you to put your ten on my land in my store or my display area, you allow me to do the same in your store, mall , display area( of course placement needs to be worked out with those involved). Now, if the objects you allow on your land isn't appropriate or of sufficient quality of course or thier prices are out of line (like those who devalue by selling at ridiculuosly low prices) you wouldn't do it. Currently, I have over 1,000 prims available (was like pulling teeth reducing lol) maybe I want to convert say 50 or 100 prims to placement of others items for sale so at 100 prims ,maybe I deal with 10 store owners at 10 prims apiece. If that were to happen I would place 10 items for sale in ten new places, would be seen in ten new and different locations and the same goes as my partners exposure is also increased. No split profits, no loss of control on your itens for sale, more exposure to shoppers, more choices for shoppers and possibly increased sales for all involved. Just a thought.
