has anyone created a new account in the last few weeks?

I'd like to pick your brain about the creation process newbie island process - it's been years since I last created one and I don't fancy adding another to the stable at the moment.

In particular I'm looking at that bit where you choose where you land. I haven't created an account since before gateways came in so I don't even know how the gateway choices are offered or anything!!

My first question is about the choosing where you land. I assume the choice is either linden or they list the gateways and you select one and then carry on with the registration process. If it is like that are the different types of linden hubs listed or is it just linden and then the list?

Anyone is welcome to respond but in particular I'm looking for the *ahem* older accounts who have recently created one - simply because brand newbies really don't know what's going on when they sign up..

You have the choice of either standard signup without a community gateway, or, you can pick a gateway to land at.

It's not a big deal really; you can teleport anywhere you want and leave whatever gateway you arrived at, to go to any other (or anywhere).

I haven't created accounts recently, I'm just involved with a gateway so I try to stay on top of these things.

So it's the Linden lottery or a specific gateway.
