Things disappeared on my land

Recently i found that things that placed on my land are disappeared, they have the same similar status, that is, the "share with group" option enabled.. Is that the reason? But reading the prim count, those things should still be here.. How can i found those things back?

if they are transfer but no copy, could it be that someone in the group is taking them? or does share with group just mean they can use them but not actually 'steal' them?

That questions for anyone who may know the answer, errr obviously.

"Share with Group" means that anybody in the group can, indeed, "Take" them, if they are Transfer items.

The fact that they still show in primcount is a bit mystifying. I suppose they could be Taking them and then rezzing them somewhere else on the parcel, or simply moving them around (also enabled by Share with Group, I'm pretty sure). Distinguishing between those two possibilities (if one cared) would be possible by just Refreshing the prim owners list in About Land, to see if the prim count has shifted from one owner to another, within the group. If so, they actually did a Take and re-rez.

Now, *finding* them is a different problem. There are lots of object sensor gadgets--I always just use my own five-minute script for this, and fly around "hunting", but there are surely better ways. For that matter, just turning on Beacons for the class of objects that have gone missing might reveal them, or highlighting a suspected culprit's stuff, in About Land.

Since the prim count hasn't changed, it seems possible that everything is still there, but you can't see it.

It's happened to me a time or two that everything around me seemed to be rezzed, but certain items simply couldn't be seen. I've seen the same thing where avatars weren't visible for a few minutes.

the sim could have eaten them, and/or they might have become ghosted
not sure if it would show up in transaction history if someone has taken the objects?

I vaguely remember SLeek (sl IM client) having the ability to show all objects in range
script sensors are quite limited
but there's probably a bot out there that could list objects on a parcel

Yifei, you don't say exactly what sort of 'things' are missing. Is it possible their poseballs?

If so, try turning on transparency in case they've been made invisible.

Finally i found out all the mising items. They were actually taken by my group members (newbies) by just selecting "take".

Check the view transparency first, then click land and check view objects in the object count area. Group objects sometimes get throw around accidentally, as in, under the malleable surface. You should see them in white if that is the case (can be a real pain to retrieve, especially from a built up area). Pictures can be oriented such that they are no longer visible unless you get to the viewable side - again, the view objects makes them pop out.

Glad you found your items

Two of my items (a Pillow Talk animated pillow and a shelf that I built) vanished from our house within the same week. The shelf of course I had a copy of. I submitted a support ticket for the pillow and got the automated answer about clearing cache, etc., etc.

I told support the items was not IN my inventory, but rezzed on my land. Got back another answer that listed all the items in my inventory that began with the title *Pillow Talk* and since the one that went missing was not in there, there was nothing they could do. (Still not getting the point it was REZZED items that poofed. )

After using every search method known, going to the 0,0,0 co-ords of my sim, using two prim finder tools...finally gave up after a month and purchased another pillow.
