Hello,
I have a skybox that i need to dissassemble and move so i can sell my property. I read directions and all it says is to put pieces back in box. Im not sure what box they mean or how to do this or what the proper steps are to due this. I sent a im to the maker of the box a few days ago and havent heard back yet or seen her online. i purchased the skybox at kumikorp if that helps anyone.
Can anyone assist me?

Thanks

Joe

if you want to place it somewher else - you can click edit on once peice and the "window" the entire thing (click upper left corner, hold down and drag) then right click and take

This assumes of course you can "window" items you only want to take.

I can do that but the skybox came with a auto-setup script that assembled the skybox by itself and would like to possibly reuse that feature in the future if at all possible

i was reviewing the notecard again and came across an idea. im going to take a portion of the skybox to inventory and then rez the auto rezzer box and try to drag and drop the portion i took.

other then that, i think ill just take the pieces individually to inventory and then worrry about re-aligning them later.

KumiKorp skyboxes are no copy, if I remember right, so you must be very careful about taking it back into inventory. I wrote a tutorial about selecting and moving large builds.

http://desperationisle.blogspot.com/2008/03/moving-large-unlinked-builds.html

I'd advise you to follow the steps in the tutorial, but instead of moving the build once it's all selected (stop at the "Moving the Build" section), right-click one of the selected objects and choose the option to take it into inventory. This will bring the whole build into your inventory as a single bundled object. I wrote a separate tutorial on how to deal with those:

http://desperationisle.blogspot.com/2007/08/how-to-recover-returned-items.html

The trick here is to enter Edit mode BEFORE you rez the bundled object. When you do that, you can follow the later steps in the first tutorial (resume at the "Moving the Build" section) about positioning your multi-part build.

A slightly related thing. I have been trying to find the free flight feather gadget for a new family member who has decided to skybox live. I have never messed with sky boxes so have never had a need for the thing and I am having no luck finding one. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
