This is something I was thinking about the other day. I think someone should open a Second Life museum that we could all visit that would showcase important events, items, avatars etc that had relevant and memorable impact inside Second Life. I don't mean real world changes like Wind Light or a Linden leaving the company, but strictly inworld events and such.
An example I can think of off the top of my head would be Anche Chung and her successes inworld. Or, anyone remember Plastic Duck and his infamous reign or terror? I don't know...
Does this already exist?
What Items, Avatars, Events, Stores, Famous Sims and Parcels etc would you guys suggest be showcased in such a museum that would help explain the history of Second Life to new users?
Thanks!

I had this idea too, but then i realised i needed a lot more prims than i currently had. I thought of glass plinths with early items in them, like Starax's gold fish in the bowl, some vehicles, some of the early linden stuff, displays on early builds, maps etc. Also items that have become must haves for example the mystitool. One way to get enough interesting items would be to request sponsored items direct from the creators.

There is a Second Life History Museum in Phobos... the white building along the eastern shore. We also have slhistory.org, which now redirects to: http://secondlife.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page

Try the Louvre as well, the collection has been put together with an eye cocked in the direction of SL building/art history.
