Apple has finally and quietly released a bug fix for quicktime that LL blogged about a couple weeks ago. It is in fact a critical fix if you want to run any quicktime content on your machine (mac or pc). Live exploits of the bug are being used. Apple and LL should be yelling at everyone to install the update. (It will auto update IF you try opening a file, but if you are not opening files or have it shut off then you have to do it by hand, go here: http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/ ) Only... I get an "Error code 2738" trying to install it on my Vista machine so I guess still not video for me. Anyone else get it installed?

I did, no problems. I went to the quicktime site and ran the newest version install and it worked fine. But I'm using XP Home.

Here is the tech note from Apple on the problem. Apparently it is a VBScript problem, they offer some possible ways to fix it. http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=304405(edit: ah you found that never mind!)
