I successfully joined five 512 sqm parcels, but now that I will be selling four, I am unable to sub-divide them.
After clicking on "sub-divide," I receive the error message that I must click on "part" of the parcel. Wherever I try clicking, I receive the same message. You would think that any click point would be a part.
What does "part" mean, and how do I execute this?
Thank you very much!

You need to highlight an area to cut out - not just click on the parcel. Hold the left mouse button down and drag, so that an area is enclosed in a highlight box - like you did when you joined the 512s.

Are you possibly going over your boundary? Even if by a hair, an error message will result.

How to sub-divide

From: Phil Deakins You need to highlight an area to cut out - not just click on the parcel. Hold the left mouse button down and drag, so that an area is enclosed in a highlight box - like you did when you joined the 512s. I didn't use this procedure when I joined. I just clicked on "join." O.K., so I drag and highlight. Then do I click on sub-divide after I highlight? And how do I get exactly 512 sqm when I drag? Thanks.

You had to have used it when you joined the parcels, otherwise the system wouldn't know the parcels to join. The smallest highlighted square you can make is 4m x 4m. The highlight jumps 4m jumps in whichever direction you are dragging. As Ciaran said, 8 jumps x 4 jumps is the normal 512 shape - that's 32m x 16m.
