How do i get furniture to stay in the house? I tried doing searches both on line and in the forms. I get a piece of furniture where i want it, log off, then a few hours later come back go to the house to add some other stuff, and the things i put there earlier are back in my inventory. If there's threads on this subject, please point them out to me, as i said i tried searching different terms and nothing substantial came up.

Help?? :)

thanks much...

Do you have Auto Return turned on?

What Brenda said ... also if the land is group-owned, make sure you are wearing the right group tag when you are rezzing objects on it. It's common for land to have auto-return on for objects that were rezzed while wearing the wrong group tag. (Happens to me all the time on my own land!)

Are you renting the land from some one? If so, they should be able to tell you how to set up your parcel (and invite you to join the group, as mentioned above.)

Wear your group tag that matches the land. Voila.

get your own land instead of squatting a sandbox.

It sounds like you are on group-owned land, either as a renter, or because you wanted more than one person to have land rights, like being able to set home at your place.

When Auto-return is on for a parcel, any objects that were placed in-world while wearing a group tag other than the one the land is deeded to will eventually get returned. This prevents squatters from moving in to your SL home.

To make the furnishings stay, check to see what group owns the land. For example, if the land is owend by a group named "Bob's Properties", and Bob is your landlord, then you most likely had to join that group when you started renting that apartment or parcel. Wear that group's tag when setting your furniture out, and your items should stay in place.
