Odd bug in the Increase Credit page

I'm apparently not allowed to add money into my account. The credit card company isn't blocking the payments, and scheduled island payments are going through. When I use the website to try to add US$ to my account, after entering the amount and clicking Next, the following page shows that I'm trying to add $0 to the account. I've tried this on 2 different systems in different locations, and so far, LL has been unable to figure it out. I've been talking to LL for the past couple of days, and their tech people can't find the problem.

For anyone with payment info on file, can you please try the Increase Credit page and post your results? After you enter the amount, there's a button to Confirm the order. As long as you don't hit the confirm button, you won't be charged anything. It may help the the techies track down the problem to see some more accounts that can or can't get that page to work properly.

It actually is a help. If I can get a bunch of people to check, I can get a better idea about whether it's just my account or if it's a broader problem with their website.

It seemed to work okay for me. I did notice that my credit card details were not filled in at the bottom, except for the name of the card, but since I recently upgraded to premium, I know LL has them. I was tempted to push the Confirm button to see if it would go through - if I did, I could then buy L$ with the credit in my account, couldn't I?

Hope you and Support get it ironed out, Argos.

Just tried with $25 and $50 and both worked.

It went through "secure-web7.secondlife.com" in case it's that that's making a difference.

Some time ago, I found that, once a set of credit card details had gone wrong, the system won't accept the same details again, so increasing the amount in the account couldn't be done with the same card details. I changed to a different card, and it went through ok. Then I changed back to the original card and that went through ok too. Dunno if that's of any help though.

That's an interesting observation Phil. The first card that was tried was a card that had been used successfully for the same purpose. Even with the new CC info, it still didn't work, and still doesn't work a couple days after LL started trying to figure it out.

Xplorer, I'm using IE on both computers that I tried. LL asked the same thing, and didn't think the browser choice would be a problem with IE.

I have had that prob before and am having that issue again .... it's a pain :( It's like they need to do a full refresh of your details with regard to the card.

I need to talk to them about that today.

Thanks to everyone that checked. They got it working again. Many, many thanks to Morpheus Linden who had to dig through the website billing code to find a rare and elusive glitch. Thanks also to Jay Linden who had to deal with me quite frequently for a couple days.
