Midian City...info?

Hi,

I'm kinda interested in doing some RP. Getting tired of just shopping, exploring sims etc. I've done some before but in a different venue. Midian City looks interesting but I don't want to get captured right off the bat. Anyone have any info on what to do/how to go about getting started to a total noob to the RP?

There are probably much more qualified individuals who could answer you, but...

You mention not wanting to get captured. Not all RP sims have a capture/adult/sex theme, or even subtle undercurrents of it. Others are exceptionally blatant about it.

The one suggestion I could give is to read all the info at the landing point and contact mods/storytellers/helpers and ask them questions. If they're any good they'll be more than happy to bring a newbie into the fold and answer all your questions.

RP sims are also very dependent on the people that are in them. If they're clique-ish and unfriendly to outsiders, then you're going to have a rough time. It may take awhile for you to feel out various places until you feel comfortable.

You can walk around as a guest, no one will bother you, you get the titler when you land and masses of info.

Yes - wear a visitor tag. Read their rules, whether visitors are considered OOC or not. I think that they are considered 'invisible' for roleplay purposes.

There are a lot of groups within Midian, including ones where no one is captured or where they do the capturing themselves. And regular citizens. So I'd go OOC and read all the cards about each group, ask to talk to members of each group if you can find some, and go from there.
