Will this laptop run SL well? I need someone who can tell just by looking at the Specs of the computer.

"shared graphics" I'm not too hot on laptop graphics specs, but that immediately rings warning bells. The specs I can find for that card look pretty woeful compared to something like a GeForce 8800, which often comes up as a good card for running SL. Someone with more specialised knowledge might have a better idea, but it looks shaky to me.

ATI 3200 graphics chip is more than adequate for SL. Should run SL just fine and in high resolution to boot. Shared memory situations are hard to avoid in laptops with limited board space but you shouldn't notice a performance hit.
Big thing is to avoid a laptop with Intel graphics. SL used to flat out refuse to run if you had any type of Intel graphics chip. Stick with Radeon or Nvidia (which are pretty much your only graphics choices aside from Intel) |

ATI RADEON HD 3200 graphics RS780M should be okay to run SL on medium graphics settings. I wouldn't hold out any expectations for great performance though. To a certain degree you get what you pay for though and the HD 3200 is by no means a high end card, even by laptop standards, and being an integrated graphics card may make a difference in performance as well so you may experience performance problems at higher graphics settings.

It appears teh HD3200 mobile chip is effectively a Radeon HD2400. A low end card, but should run SL reasonably well. The shared memory isn't great, but on the upside it allows more memory than maybe a low end seperate card.
Given I was using a desktop with a Radeon 9000 pro complete with 64M on it and managing to run SL reasonably so long as I stayed away from busy places, that laptop should be fine  |
