Making a siggy banner a link?

Haalp---I'm trying to add an image to my signature, and looking at the vB code list to fuddle my way through. It just ain't'ent working for me yet and I'm all frustrated.

To quote the instructions there- "The ]tag to maked images become links." and it gives this example--" (Linked) "


I'm trying to make a clickable picture that links with my slurl. I've tried using links to my image on both flickr and photobucket--neither work. (Yes I enabled them in my options, and can see others' siggy pictures)

Has anyone else tried using a slurl in place here, and had it work?

No can do.. Sorry.. You can do links and you can do images but you can't do images with links.

Oh bum, Sindy--I had my hopes up there. Is the only way to put an image in, then write the slurl underneath?

And put the url in img tags instead and stick a ? at the end to make it a clicky link..

edit: and check the spelling of that region name..

Please DON'T do this...
when LL finally DOES upgrade the forums, all the links like that will be broken images. And those useful links you provided, will be lost to everyone.

Thanks Winter--I will only use Sindy's suggestion for my sig, as I assume that means I'll have one thing to update when the changes are made? I have to read your link in detail when I get back from easter, but can appreciate how a forum full of broken links loses its happiness....

And thanks Sindy--I finally got it all sorted out--that was harder than i thought that was going to be
