hi, i'm wondering....i saw a plot of land that was confiscated by LL, presumably because the previous owner didn't pay tier. so, in the "about land" section, it says that the land is not for sale, but there is an auction ID. i did a search for the auction ID on the SL website, but nothing came up. anyway, does this mean that the land eventually will go up for auction? and if so, is there a good way to monitor how and when this would happen? thanks!

If it has an auction ID, and assuming it hasn't already taken place already, then yes, it should be available to bid on at some point. I haven't purchased land this way for several years, and so I am not 100% that what I know of the auction system still holds. So, rather than post information which I fear to be out of date, I will simply post here in the hope that the 'bump' will result in attracting someone who can help :D

If it's not yet up for auction, I don't think you can find it under the number. There are some new sims that also have numbers but I haven't been able to find them in the auction pages.

Yeah, I recently bought a Mainland parcel under the Auction system. It had an Auction ID on the parcel for a few weeks before it hit the Auction page, and I never found a way to monitor it short of just remembering to visit that page every day. It seems to be rare, by the way, to find "bargains" on auction, at least any time I've tried. (But sometimes one is willing to spend more than the prevailing price for a parcel in the right location.)

You can submit a support ticket letting LL know you are an owner on the sim and are interested in the particular plot. I know that helps for plots that are 512 in size. Not sure about larger ones. Let us know if they respond...

From what I've heard recently, LL puts 512's in the auction queue now too, even if you own land in the sim and contact them. I had a different experience several months ago, but I know someone else tried this a few weeks back and were told to watch the auctions. I'm not as well connected as Ray though, so in all things land listen to him before me. :p

I'm about as connected as a random dude trying to get Led Zeppelin tickets. Yours was the experience that led me to believe a support ticket would help. So nevermind my advice. Watch the auctions like a hawk.
