....so that I can downgrade my account. I wanted to give it to a friend in game but can't find a way to do that so I put the land up for sale at a low price and specified this one person to buy the land. First of all when he tried to buy it, it showed a difference price to the one I had set it, so took it off-sale and put it up for sale again with a different lower price but he STILL couldn't buy it. Furthermore, once I had put the land up for sale I could no longer access the parcel BUT I was still able to access my house which is on a SkyBox over the land.
Can anyone help with this please?

Is your friend a premium account holder? I've seen this before, and it's generally because the avatar trying to buy is a basic member.

Check the spelling of the name of the buyer. Sometimes things like the I and the lower case l (L) look the same. I'm not sure about it in SL, but this could also be an issue.

maybe you biffed and set it to "anyone" by mistake and the reason you can't sell it is because you no longer own it. *shrugs*

I've had things like this before. Two AV's have had trouble buying my estate land. One got a message about needing to be a premium member! The other logged back in as her alt and was able to buy it. Just some gliches I guess.
