Any good building places in SL

I don't want to spend the money to buy some land, so is there any place in SL that will let my build, without deleting it in a couple of minutes? I just mean to build some clothing or a helmet or such without it disappearing... Thank you for your help if you tell me.

Try searching for "sandbox" in search, you will find lots of places.

Sandboxes are great. There can be a lot of griefers around though so you may want to build on a platform in the sky.

The NCI sandboxes are usually pretty well supervised. Most of the other places I used to build are gone, I think. (I got bit by the land bug well over a year ago and have used my own space ever since.)

Have a good look around for sandboxes, there are some that never get griefers, I know a couple, but one tends not to advertise these places to people you don't know as you don't want griefers to start showing up, so look around, ask people you know.

Try the beta grid - you can sometimes get griefers but not often. There is not much scope for griefers on beta, so they soon go away. Your build will eventually get cleared, but it will remain until the beta grid is refreshed and the MOTD usually has the last or next date scheduled for this.

I find beta is very useful for working out how to do things - then when you create on the main grid you know how to go about it and can get it done more quickly - so less time in the sandbox.
