Small Private SL Wedding(?)

My RL wife just said "yes" to being my SL partner. Is there a good way to make our partnership "official" in some small private way?

In RL we got married in our back yard garden, by the county clerk, with two friends attending. In SL, I'd like to exchange vows and walk away with a certificate, and do it again in our own backyard. Nothing fancy.

Oh, and I want to do it tomorrow.

Any suggestions?

My husband and I may have been able to accomodate you. However the pastor we use for our business, he requires 24 hour notice. If you are willing to wait about 2 days then we can provide what you need. If you are still interested im inworld.

I was kinda hoping for a Las Vegas quickie chapel.

There is an SL Graceland.

Maybe one of the Elvii that are usually hanging out there would consent to performing a quickie 'wedding'. I dunno about a certificate, though. Maybe he could type you a notecard.

There is a disco upstairs, the only part that isn't 'authentic'. So you and yours could go dancing right after.

I have no idea if this would work but it's an idea. If there isn't a quickie wedding chapel somewhere in SL though I'm surprised.

There are lots of chapels around in SL. My partner and I used the one in Camelot.

Why not just go to one, invite a few friends, get a friend to perform a simple ceremony, make your vows and invite everyone back to your place for drinks.

You will have made a public commitment and you will "feel" married. What more do you want?

It's obvious that I didn't give this enough forethought.

But I think it presents an interesting business plan: quickie SL weddings.

Of course it would have to be spelled kwikee.

Add something in there about "mak sexxies" and you'll have a real hit.

My SL partner and I chose a lovely spot at Victorianna Castle. We held our ceremony with just a few friends in their outdoor garden, but they now have a small wedding chapel inside the castle.

We did not have anyone "officiate" but just spoke our feelings to each other. You could do something similar privately.

The Victorianna Castle is really lovely and you wouldn't even need to contact the owner for something like that. I really recommend at least taking a look at it. Feel free to contact me in world or IM here on the forums if you would like a short tour.

Quickie weddings has been thought of. You can someone such as a friend to do your vows. I do believe if you are looking for a las vegas style wedding, go through search. They are there.
