I'm not doing so well here.. and when i rez it the lines don't match up so it flickers and im getting a little irritated :) I would be willing to compensate you for your time. :)

i know this should be simple.. but I guess this isn't my day for simple.

Rezzing as in building it yourself? Or rezzing one you've bought? I have to get offline now, but I have some handy tricks for stopping texture flicker and for lining up walls and floors precisely. If it can wait until tomorrow, I'd be happy to show you. If, however, you've bought a house and it's aligned so badly that the textures flicker, then I suggest you contact the maker *g*

no.. I bought the house and I don't think it's the maker.. ROFL I think it's the rezzer :/

Someone was nice enough to message me in world so hopefully im on the road to a new house.. but thanks so much :)

I would still be interested in learning the tricks though so if you are still open to that when you have free time let me know. :)))

I'd be happy to try to help you but won't be online until 5:30 or so tonight. If you still need help then feel free to send me in IM in-world.

The biggest help I had was when I discovered (unfortunately on my own and way too late) that the second page of the edit tabs has (among other things) an area that lets you precisely set alignments in both position (make all your walls at green 34.125 and red plus 10 meters across your sim for instance) and orientation (place your perfect house other than 0, 90 or 270 degrees and spend your second life angling pictures and tapestries to match).

OHH??? well this might come in handy seeing as I just did it again.. GAH! Is there a way to lock it into place so I don't do this again? i'm having a heck of a time getting it back together and I already have most of my stuff inside so don't want to rerez it :/

Actually, it's often easier to delete the surrounding house and re-rez it. Then align it to match the pictures on the wall. :)

Once you get it re-rezzed and set up the way you want, then select it and check the Lock button in the Edit window.

This will at least give you a warning message before you inadvertently move it again.

Shhhhhh......I get paid good money to spend hours angeling things to match houses rezzed off 0,90 or 270 degrees.

I'm logged now, and should be free within the next hour, if you'll be around. Send me an IM inworld if you have time today. Failing that, I'm online all weekend, although I think I have a couple of RP sessions I'll be poked to join in during the evenings ;)
