The window manager is probably grabbing the Alt-Control-Drag mouse gesture before it gets to the application. How to change this, though, will depend on which window manager is being used. In KDE, one way is from the Control Center / Desktop / Window Behavior, changing the Modifier key (from "Alt" to "Meta";) under Inner Window, Titlebar & Frame. I remember this being asked at some point in the Linux Client Testers forum, /263/1.html, so there might be hints for Gnome, etc., there.

Thanks Qie.. I am running Unbunto (sp). I wanted Linux since all of my websites are on Linux servers. I want to test features before I upload them into Wild and Wooley World of the internet.

Right; probably Gnome, then. (When an Ubuntu distro wears KDE it's often called "Kubuntu".) If nobody chimes in with a Gnome solution, I could fire up Gnome on this Gentoo box and flounder around till I find it, but it's bound to be something in whatever Gnome uses to configure window response to mouse modifier keys.

Or you could switch to KDE. :p (Just kidding!!!)

A good friend set up my box for free so... I really rather not change. I'll check the documentation now that I know what to look for.

Thanks again,
