Adding sounds to doors

Not even sure this is the place to ask this question.
We recently purchased a home we like and enjoy. But didn't realize when we bought it that there were no sounds when we open and close the doors. We would really like to add this option, our builder doesn't offer it as an upgrade saying he buys the scripts from somewhere else. Is there a way for us to do this ourselves? Any help would be great.
Thanks

The UUIDs for the door sounds in the Timeless Door are listed in the script. It's available in the script library so I reckon the sounds are available to be used.

It will very much depend if the door scripts in your house are moddable. On some doors that I've found as freebies there's the option to turn sounds on or off. If there's no provision in the script but you can mod it, you will have to add the sounds to each event - open and close.

You need some understanding of the scripting process to add the sunds and there's no definitive solution as it will depend on how the rest of the script is written.

Hope that's of some help.

If you can modify the door then try putting a sound in the content tab.

Thanks for the suggestions, but I just checked and the doors are no mod. Guess there's not much I can do in that case is there?

Correct, if they're no-mod, you can't add sound.

There are many freebie doors around that are full perms. If I can get inworld again (I'm having Internet problems) I'll send you one, but in the meantime, try YadNi's Junkyard, and grab one of the Buildings boxes...many of the buildings in there will have full perms doors.

I did just get inworld and sent the door, but it was declined--was that your intention, Kam?

did you read the OPs post "our builder doesn't offer it as an upgrade saying he buys the scripts from somewhere else" basically he's bought it from a cowboy builder.

yes, except its not a upgrade - its a blatant defect or setup mistake.

Sorry defiantly not my intention. I can;t remember getting anything or even declining anything. Would be grateful if you could try again.
Many Thanks
