Thanks to all of you who responded regarding the "waiting" friends list ... nothing suggested worked but I certainly appreciated knowing that I'm not the only one with the problem.

Now, it's time to address this ridiculous inability to connect with a region with a list of options, none of which solve the problem! The "teleport" home doesn't work and the OK option isn't OK - it takes you back to the log in screen.

I've solved the problem, however, by logging on using the other viewer ... sometimes I get the "waiting for region" from Windlight, sometimes from the older viewer, but, invariably, if one can't connect with a region, the other one can connect with the very same region.

Frankly, I'm puzzled ... suggestions would be helpful if any of you have overcome the issue.

Thanks, again, for your responses on other problems I've posted.

Sorry you had this - presume it cleared up. I had a night where rebooting the router didn't help or any of the other things, not even a custom port. LL were baffled ... but perhaps the people complaining gave them the right idea cos it cleared.

Usually the router reboot is what is needed. If you wait a while, you can get in again without rebooting but when you TP you'll be timed out again.

I also find voice fades in and out on a similar timescale, typically 5 minutes.

You are deinitely not alone. In the UK by any chance?

I haven't rebooted my router ... good idea! However, now, after the new RC install, I can't log in with it or with the older viewer!! Is SL ever ready for prime time??

Thanks!
