Perhaps this doesn't belong here, I don't know. This seems like something so simple but yet, it is not working on my land. I have my audio preferences enabled for streaming, I have the station url in the proper location............why is it not working?

Maybe the stream is not running atm?

Also, if you have bad lag it can effect it.. for me personally, when i have the stream on I hear it for a while, then stop.. it comes and goes.

Hi Stormy,

Music URLs come and go. Have you tried other stream URLs? Has streaming music ever worked for you?

Sometimes, all you need to do is stop and restart your music stream using the little controller on screen.

No, it has never worked for me on my land. I have taken flight around the sim a couple times and can hear other parcels blaring their tunes, I'm not sure why mine is being so difficult. It's not lag because I've barely started to design my parcel, I've tried many stations, it just doesn't or hasn't every worked and it's so frustrating! I've tried to get the owners out to help, but they have been super swamped otherwise they would, plus I don't want to bug the crap out of them every day!

Ah! You're renting your land then? Probably the owner has not set you up to change these settings. Are you a member of a group for that owner's land? If so, you need to have that group activated while you're changing settings. If you do have it activated, and it's still not working, then the land owner probably needs to set you up to make these changes. And, Stormy, if you're renting, you have every right to "bug" your landlord. You're paying him!

Oryx,

Thank you so much. I am set up though in the group and I believe that I have been activated while making changes, but I will try that again as I didn't know that. I know I have the right to bug them, and they are wonderful people, I just hate bugging people.

I saw a recent post about this and someone gave a big list of music urls. Search for "music url list".

I have URL's - my problem is the music is not playing on my parcel and it still isn't. All of my settings are correct, I don't know what is wrong but it's making me mad, very, very MAD!!

Have you put in JUST the url, not the station name? something that looks like http://blahblah.com:8084 or http://blahblahblah.com:9192/stream

Have you tried changing streams?

Oryx is right. You need to contact your landlord and have them look into this. You should not feel awkward about it. If they are as wonderful as you say, they should be more than happy to help you.
