I'm looking for an RP sim of a city set somewhere around the 1930s, maybe Chicago, or inspired by/similar to Chicago. Think Dick Tracy, or old black and white detective shows. Something with mobsters and bootlegging and all the extras that went with that era.

I want to dress up like Dick Tracy and prowl around a shadow drenched cityscape of yesteryear.

Have you tried to search in world in places?
I know there is a Chicago build but its modern and tons of Mafia
gangster related builds just don't remember exactly names.
Not sure if they are rp though.

That's the problem - modern.

Yes... I've hunted around in-world a bit, searching for "1930s", "mafia", "mobsters", "roleplaying", "dick tracy", and various combinations of those and city names. Maybe I just need to keep looking until I nail a keyword that hits the jackpot. I don't think I've included "noir" or "detective" in my searches.

Everthing seems to be slanted towards the modern. I did read about a burlesque house styled after the 1930s.... I'm gonna visit it later tonight.

It's not hard to find mafia groups in SL, but that's not what I'm looking for. I do know some places with 1930s inspired clothing I plan to revisit later.
