i been seeking for a bike for a few weeks, now i doubt between HD and H8 , i think the HD is no copy and a bit too expensive.

i really love the H8 bikes, sure 254prims but that makes for great detail, but i test drived a 30prim bike on his desert track, and it does not turn when not pressing gas?

i tried sending a im and also a notecard to H8 creator, but he does not respond, that kinda makes me not want to buy from him, but i do like his bikes.

*my question, do H8 254prim bikes turn (when they are rolling already), without giving gas ?

i start to think not, since he does not reply ?

Something of a specialist question there, Real.

Perhaps the creator is away at the moment. How long ago did you send the notecard?

Plenty of bike manufacturers out there, however.

BTW, Real.. maybe I DO have something to contribute:

I bought an HD. It was all black with saddle bags, almost a full-dress tourer kinda thing. Not only is it No Copy, but another odd thing was that there was no vendor or package to purchase. The actual item for purchase was set out on display. They were parked in a line, just like in a FL dealership. It looked kinda nice really. I had to buy the item and then take it into inventory.

It looked GREAT parked... but 2500L for the stupid thing and the riding pose was wrong. the bike had normal kinda wide/low tourer bars but the pose was for ape hangers and the Avi's hands were way up in the air.

It wasn't easy to control either. I consider it a very bad purchase. Another bike I bought for one-TENTH the price is actually useable and this one is not. I wrote to the listed creator - got no response.

How the bike handles is dependent on the script. If he uses the same script on all his bikes, then you can expect the handling to be similar. Garrett Laramide is a regular here in the forum and she makes really great bikes. The one I have came in a package with a lower prim bike for riding and the really detailed one for display. she's probably a good source for answering this sort of question.

Basically, the higher prim count the bike (or airplane, car, tank, whatever) the more difficulty you are going to have with sim crossings. So a really detailed vehicle might be pretty, but it doesn't necessarily mean it's good for driving.

Maybe the SL automotive scene neds a "Top Gear" team roadtesting and reviewing stuff, actually a Mythbusting team could be fun too

do a classified search for the house of yiyuan on the first floor of that shop is a really nice bike by BlackWidow Nightfire that i think is going for 800L.

The bikes by HD Pomeray were really nice but have not checked them since H4.

MLCC by Motor Loon are nice and the price is not bad.

Koose DeGroot has nice bike but seem a little unrealistic to me.

SLC Choppers by Biack Lisle are also pretty nice.

All of the above bike and copiable unless things have changed since i purchased from each of these merchants.

There are also other bike vendors if you search for the Saints of Hell sim on the map.

Added, IM me inworld if ya need help bike shoppin.

HDCC aka Pomeray increased his prices and made it no copy :(

Visit Koose's Kustom Choppers and have a look, I custom fit any bike at your request. I'm by far the oldest bike dealer in Second Life, I've been around since virtual dirt was discovered.
