objects have vanished...some are colored red?

Hey everyone,

On Sunday evening right in the middle of an event I was holding, the floor of my skybox disappeared (not just phantom, I mean it's gone). Along with this, a bunch of my objects have a red hue glazed over top of them, as if I have highlight transparities turned on, which I don't. I took a walk around my sim to find that a bunch of my neighbor's objects are also colored red. are any of you experiencing this? is this connected tot he fixes that will be rolled out on Wednesday, or should I be considering a manual fix on my skybox?

For the red stuff, see if View->Beacons->Render highlights might be checked.

For the missing floors, do you happen to have any cats who like to walk on desks?

Oh, just wondering if a small creature or child could have wandered by and messed with your mouse is all. Usually prims are polite enough to wait for a sim crash or being rezzed to disappear.

hmmm...when it happened I was not doing anything at all. I was just sitting there helping some fighters sign in to the event. Possible though I guess.

The fact you inadvertently turned on something to make the red hue appear, might it also be possible that you could have inadvertently deleted your floor, my time as a estate manager started with me deleting 2 sky box floors by accident, was I red faced. Another possibility is that someone with permissions to edit your objects could have accidently dleted them too, but are too embarrassed to say?

I've deleted my stuff before...but this time I seriously was doing nothing with my mouse when it happened. I was just sitting there watching people flood into my place. Of course, it still might have happened. There is nobody who can edit my objects either.

The good news is it should be fairly easy to fix, it is only half the floor.
