Not that I initiate questions here often but for once I'm motivated to ask of others. Left the pc on last night with the av sitting quietly at home so that IM's for my Midnight Madness texure picks wouldn't risk getting capped........... Anyway, I wade through the various Group Notices and messages and come across a message from Blondin Linden: "Blondin Lindenis having a Nautilus specific Office Hour at the Theatre in Anath. Come join us!" (His typo, not mine) So, given that I don't have any property in Nautilus, have visited there only once or twice as far as I'm aware, and have had no direct contact with any Linden other than one, whose name I forget but am pretty sure wasn't Blondin, in Live Chat about clearing banlines on abandoned land in Gaeta, should I look for deeper meaning and get seriously paranoid about featuring on LL's radar or consider myself highly privileged - or is it the case that LL simply pulls names from a virtual hat to attend their get togethers? I'm simply puzzled as to what might have triggered the invitation and wonder if others have had a similar experience? C p.s. the Midnigh Madnesses didn't reach their targets so there wasn't reason to hang in there overnight anyway.

My alt got one too. I decided that probably nobody turned up and he was touting for business. Neither my alt nor I have ever had anything to do with Nautilus.

I got that message on my logged-in account too. I suspect Blondin just did a mass inworld spam. Either to everyone or to some arcane subset.

Nautilus? Isn't that one of the SL continents? *looks on a map of SL vs the in game map* Well, if that's correct, then why didn't I get an invite? Fushida is a Nautilus sim, if the in game map is correct when compared to this one.. http://www.flickr.com/photos/danielvoyager/3733558246/in/set-72157612023608587/?

I was not afk when I got the message. I have had similar messages before. Lindens can send messages out to mass groups and I just assumed they hit the wrong button when we all get these messages.

I read somewhere else that Blondin meant to send that to a Nautilus-related subset of people and, in error, sent it out more widely.

I never get invited. I wonder if it was due to me juggling 3 dates at the concierge party that one year..... Lag was my best friend that day.

Well, okay, my not being online at the time explains it. I really need to inhale more caffeine before trying to think.

From: Raudf Fox Well, okay, my not being online at the time explains it. I really need to inhale more caffeine before trying to think. Otherwise thinking can be dangerous. I've seen this before, not from this specific individual, however they do have the ability to mass message in various ways.

Actually even though i have nothing to do with those sims nor would i want to go to THAT office hour, I rather liked the idea that the Lindens were letting people know in better ways about the office hours.
I wouldnt object to being sent a notice a few times a week about various osffice hours and where we can participate. It would benefit those who know nothing about them or those who might forget.
