Is anyone else experiencing a complete slow down in Second Life in the last week? Our fps has dropped from above 40 to below 15 in the last week fro no apparent reason. The sim has become so laggy that it is ruining the project.

Yes, since installing the latest viewer. After a tp, things take simply AAAAAAGes to rezz...

I have considered going back to the previous, but its not so bad at the moment to make me do that... figured I would ride it out until the next one...

but you are NOT alone

Yes, yes, yes. It's annoying. For a while, I thought it was my network, but it's more like... just slow rezzing everything. Including anything I'm wearing.

I haven't upgraded to the new viewer, and in the past week, things have been completely miserable. Crashing on TPs, *extremely* slow rezzes, laggy sims, including my own, even after a restart. It's enough to make me cry.

Hi guys
I think the sim slowed down on the day that Burning Life started. I wonder if anyone else experienced that? BTW, I am still using 1.19.1 as my main browser. I do have SRC loaded up but it is unusual for me to be able to stay connected without hanging for more than five minutes. With 1.19.1 I hardly ever crash, though the graphics experience is not nearly as good. I have several different Mac computers and each has problems with SRC. I have a friend who bought a brand new laptop - a PC - and has not been able to stay in SL for more than 3 minutes at any one time!!!!
I don't know about anyone else, but my Linden bill is around $400 US dollars per month. If things don't improve soon I will be ditching my project!

Yes. I am fine for two or three minutes but come to a grinding halt after that if I am anywhere near a populated area. I tend to stay at a high altitude these days. SL works better above 250 feet now. Crashing, slow shut downs, slow loads, odd things; it can't simply be my computer that works well on everything else or my server. It is old problems that are "enhanced" by further stresses to a system that needs a complete overhaul. SL is becoming as canky and depressing as my stock portfolio and rrsps.
