attachements detached

hi...

for the last 2 weeks, my sister's attachments are detached everytime she logsd in.. soemtimes even when she teleports..

has this happeend to anyone else?
does anyone know how to solve it?

she is using the RC viewer by the way......any help is appreciated.. ty

This was a common problem some time ago - either missing attachments or misplaced ones.

Get your sister to clear her cache and it might just help.

yes, the other day I had it happen twice. Almost every attachment I wear was off my avi when I logged in on Sat. I put them all back on, danced and then logged out for a couple hours. When I logged back in 2 hours later, they were all off again. I was so angry, disgusted and terrified about it, I logged out and stayed out.

Why was I terrified? I have a dance collection I've kept tabs on with an excel spreadsheet and it's now over $250,000L worth of dances. I wear 8 Huddles Quick Pose Huds at a time, (I now have 30 full ones I usually rotate) and an Abranimations dance sphere with 213 dances in it, and this &*)$#(%*&# JIRA 6110 is still not resolved.



So, shenannigans like this put it all in jeopardy.

Last night, they were all on, but I couldn't use them at all. Upon editing, every thing was blank in the edit box.

Once again, I wound up going to play a game that works.

I get this one lately sometimes, and "you're bald!" "No I am not (to my view)!" *snapshot* *aCK*
Also, the can't remove an attachment, anything! even Huds,
have to replace to and rewear. It get's kinda boring.

anyone know how to fix it? i jsut think its weird that different things affect different people... i am seeing invisilbe people alot.. havent been liek that for about 5 moinths now

When this happens, your avatar's state isn't being saved properly when you log out.

It has little to do with the client side, and everything to do with the server side (LL's side).

Some recommendations:

- Never log out in a packed, laggy sim.
- Never log out in a void (openspace) sim if it can be helped.
- if you wear a lot of high script count attachments, take a few of the bigger ones off before logging off.
- don't crash.

omg i hated the glitch where you teleport and you prims go right to your butt..

it just all of a sudden stopped one day for me..i can't remember if it was before or after i switched to the Nicholis viewer

okay, I am seeing a lot of invisible pps too, just hair and shoes and nicknames.
I pan/cam around and they come into view on RC.

yeah thats what i get.... if i remeber rightly it was somethign to do with imposters... but i might be wrong... i jsut remember the problem clearing after a while...

No problem. It really comes down to the grid's health, and how quickly your AV gets saved back to the asset cluster. It used to be the sims would keep trying until the job was done. But that lead to a lot of ghosted AVs and people being stuck with no way to log back in. So now if the AV's state isn't saved after 5 minutes, the sim just gives up. :\

There is also a limit on how many scripts/objects the sims can serialize during saves and teleports, if you have too many prims/scripts on, some data is lost, and your attachments can potentially stop working or parts go missing/invisible, until next login. Of course if this happens during logoff, you get content loss.
