I have seen it fairly often for many months when flying about, it is preceded by me being sucked along helpless as the landscape passes by and vanishes. On the upside, it used to suck me along until trashing me off, lately it just yanks me around then dumps me back at the last region line with the error "expired_region_handoff".

shez yep it sucked me 2 sims distance, snapped me back then spammed me with that msg
eventually I was able to move again

Two TPs last night ended up in a pile of mostly grey near-paralysed avatars in a Linden Welcome Centre. On the last trip, there were 152 avatars in my sim corner, but lesser numbers in the adjacent corners of the other 3 sims. Good humour abounded. A few people were asking for explanations, but mainly it was a series of one-liners. Then come the "Region is shutting down in x seconds" (and get the hell out). Could we TP? Nope. Countdown to logout - fearing that we would not be able to get in again.
