Just an FYI if you haven't noticed already....there's a guy posting in almost every forum, looking for products to sell. Seems he's new....so someone might want to let him know that he's not quite going about it the right way. I repsonded to one post to let him know he ought to just try to make his own stuff to sell..... but then I noticed a smattering of the same thread from him in many of the other forums. Might want to grab this guy's threads before he spams the forums to death. LOL

Bump. I see cross-posted topics everyday in the forums, especially in the Property Sales and Rentals, and Land Sales and Rentals areas. The New Products area is also bloated with cross-posted announcements.
For example, this morning's double vision threads:
"SIM for sale - dirt cheap - MAKE ME AN OFFER!" "Full Class 5 Sim For Sale!" "Beach Land for Sale: Mainland" "1/4 Sim Sized beautiful Mainland Beach Island for Sale" (listed with slightly different titles, same content) "1/4 Sim L$1800/week Tropical Island rental (800 prims)" "Full Sim For Sale,100k Only!!" "Are U READY 4THE TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS?" "Serious About Earning Linden YOU could own and run your 1st Night Club"
I know that these forums are um...lightly moderated, but it would seem that cross-posts would be the easiest kind of forum abuse to detect and correct. No politics or gray areas, just obvious violations of the forum rules. See em, delete em, punish repeat offenders.

From: Marianne McCann Make sure an click the little report button on 'em, too. Thanks for the tip, Marianne. I didn't know that little button existed. Now I can use it to vent my cross-posted frustrations.

Vlad, you are skimming a grey area here... as when it comes to the classifieds, some 'products' are suited to more than one category - and the Land/Property forums are probably the most that get the same ad in both at the same time. My partner have a small rental business and while we offer land for rent we also offer the land to come with a property if the tenant so wishes - hence why I advertise in both, as both are applicable to what I am wanting to advertise. On behalf of my partner and I being in business together, I have only advertised once a month for the last couple of months, 1 ad in each of the Land and Property forums and I don't see that this is completely obliterating the rules, or abusing the forums. I have been a member of SL since 2006 and both of us pay for adverts inworld, so surely we have the right to advertise in the forums too?

I reported this thread because this was not a question to the residents.
