Hello,

I was wondering if there is a rest button in the preferences? I was messing with the settings today and now I cant remember where they were in the beginning.

Thanks!

If by beginning you mean the prefs you were born with, I guess you could always create an alt and make a note of its default preferences...

Bec,

You could reinstall the viewer software. That should not be necessary, though.

You actually want to adjust the preferences based on your internet speed and computer. I will pass you a notecard inworld that can step you through that. It's so much confusion for users with those preferences that a guide really helps.

Don't think there's an in-viewer way to do this, but the preferences are all saved locally on disk files... location varies by operating system. On Linux they're in ~/.secondlife/* and on XP they're in Documents and Settings\<userName>\Application Data\SecondLife\*, so if those get moved or deleted, I think everything will start fresh the next time around.
