I don't know what you mean by equiping them but it sounds like you bought boxed items. If that's the case, you need to rez the box on the floor or ground (in a place that allows you to do that), right click the box and click Open. Then drag the contents into your inventory.
It's best to make a seperate folder for the contents of each box. _____________________

Welcome to SL and the forums, Ritsuka.
When I started, I was in despair about how to open boxes till someone explained -- do what Phil said. There's also a little tutorial on the subject: |

Ritsuka,
The correct term for what you're doing is "wearing" the item. The problem is that it's "boxed". In SL, it's possible for objects to contain other objects. An object used solely for this purpose is called, obviously, a "box". You're wearing the box object...the stuff you want is inside it. Instead of wearing it, go to a place where you can build or "rez" objects (the little yellow cube on the top menu bar will not have a "NO" symbol on it). If you don't know of such a place, do a search for "Public Sandboxes" ("Rez" means, "to bring an object into the world by creating it or taking it out of inventory" ![]() Drag the object out of your inventory onto the ground. Right click it and choose "Open". You'll see a list of the object's contents. You can use the button "copy contents to inventory" or you can manually highlight the items from the content list and drag them back into your inventory. I like to do it this way, after making a new inventory folder for the stuff. This helps keep your inventory organized. Some clothing items have ten or fifteen or more parts to them. So I might have a folder called "Green Ball Gown", and inside it a Shirt, pants, underpants, prim skirt, left and right prim sleeves, maybe a belt or scarf. Hair can be even worse...I have a couple of hairstyles that I bought as "fatpacks"...all the different colors...and there are maybe forty or fifty different hair objects in the folder. However you do it, when you're done, delete the box (don't litter!), find the new items in your inventory, right click and Wear them. _____________________
It's still My World and My Imagination! So there.

I didn't know i needed one.. it opens in Google Chrome OK. the ? makes it behave properly across browsers... without one in there somewhere both IE and FF display nothing (because the mimetype doesnt match, but exceptions are made for search strings) chrome is just overriding the expected mimetype. _____________________
