Is there a way to communicate with someone inworld while you are only operating on the SL website? I am unable to go inworld from work, but often would like to send a message to someone who is inworld. Can it be done?

Also, if you have IMs sent to email you can reply to someone (delete all the message before typing your words as there is a length restriction of about two lines) and it will turn up in IM for them. You can only reply as long as that email id is valid, which is about four days I think.
Pep (uses it all the time.)
PS There are also "lite" viewers which have restricted capability but I have never used them.

I've used Zonkster before, it works nicely. I often use Metabolt, which is a text-only viewer, to log in during my lunch hour and talk with people. It does log you in - I understand you appear normally in-world at your log-in point - but your display is text only, so it's very light on internet connection and doesn't look like you are playing around at work.

One nice thing about Metabolt is you can list the nearby objects, and "Sit" on them. Also, you can follow other people. Not for stalking mind you, just for going where they invite you to go PS Carter, you get cuter every day
