I'd really appreciate if someone can help me with this.
It seems that I am stuck with a skirt on my avi's body. I am *not* wearing it. I've cleared everything off my avi, cleared cache, put on and taken off various other clothing/skirts/tops but each time I do take off a skirt, this one appears on me.
It does dissappear from view when I do go in 'appearance' mode but returns again as soon as I do go out of it. I've tried everything I can possibly think of; as well as reinstalling SL.
Does anyone out there have a help tip for me? I sure do not wanna be stuck in a red top for the rest of my SL 'life'.

open your advanced menu using ctrl alt D (sometimes it needs ctrl alt shift D)
then in that menu look for Character > Character test > test male/female *you pick male or female)
what this does is revert you back to the original "ruth" avatar
so be sure to know where you shape, skin etc are so you can put them back on
(this will remove everything)

Sounds like serious lag issues to me....try to rebake...and when all else fails, log off then back on. That usually fixes it for me.

lag after a re-install? i don't think so personally
do as Ra said, but first type in 'worn' on your invintory search, this will show you any skins/hair/attachments or other clothes your wearing so you know which to pick after you've ruthed yourself

Yes - that solved my problem, thank so much! To 'ruth' myself again an start from scrach.
Not a lag issue - tried to get this off my avi for almost 2 hours with various methoods; re-install, yes log off/on and rebake. Nothing worked till I did do ruthing again.

when you right click your av, choose "take off" and then "more". then "take off all clothes".
you'll be nekky, but at least you won't have to find EVERYTHING again.
