I am having problems taking photos of myself. I bought a couple of poses thinking i could photograph the front of me and zoom in, but still just have a nice shot of my back.
I do not know where to begin!
Also, the poses i bought (body talk) i thought had more than one pose in each pack..they were the L$75 ones..i seem to only have one pose per stand? No doubt I am doing something wrong with that too! *confuzzled totally*

if you hold the alt button and left mouse button at the same time you will target what you release the mouse button on and then can zoom in close..also you can put your camera movements on your screen also from the menu at the top of the screen which is a big help.

From the top menu, View > Camera controls. You can drag that little control around by click-draging the far right edge. It works well for moving the camara around so you can see yourself for the photo

75L sounds like a single pose price.

There are some not too bad ones for 5L each here: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Renovatio/191/129/22

If you tp in near the pose balls, you'll need to go to the other end of the store and look along one of the side walls.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

There are also a couple free photo studios out there where you can use the advanced gear.

some of them are a good idea early on, though a fully loaded pose stand can take a while to cycle through

Read any notecards carefully and look for signs by the stations

iirc Sarah Nerd has one set up at her place in world

Alt-Cntrl-Shift with left mouse button is the best way to move the camera (aside from a Space Nav).

Subjective. I find the camera harder to control that way.

i think i have a bunch of poses that one of the modeling agency's gave me..i think they are full perm and may even have a modeling table for you if you would like to IM me in world.
i'll have to see if the table is transferable or not but if it is you can have it..i really never did much of the modeling thing myself and it's taking up space in my inventory anyways heheheh

After you watch Torley's tutorials, you might also want to pick up a face light. Those can make a difference too. Depending on the in-world lighting, you could try with and without a face light. Then keep the ones you like best. There are classes on taking good snapshots too, I think the NCI Centers were where a friend took that class.

Just make a small sphere transparent, set it to "light" and attach it. Be independent!

What I did was help a newbie by making a picture box. 6 white lights in the room. 1 opt, 1 bottom and 4 spaced around so there were no shadows and it worked well for them.

She still uses if for a changing room for editing appearance and trying on/modding outfits
