Hi to all in the the Sl world,I am wondering if anyone out there could please tell me how to show myself offline,when i am actually online,i just want to be shown that i am not on line when im out and about,or just sitting at home.

Not really, all you can do is set yourself to "Busy" or "Away" mode when logged in ... and set a busy message saying you aren't there.

Or... you can just log out if it's more than a few minutes. Then you'll be offline :)

You can untick people on your friends list from seeing you online..but they can still see if your online if you are in any of the same groups.

What I do, is set BUSY with a message saying I will get back to them :) No one has minded yet. Though be sure to turn busy off if your shopping..

Look at friends list first column remove tick(s) if that is what you require.
See Preferrences, Comunication and Profile Online Status, set as you require.
You could write your own Busy message, and set Busy from World Menu.

There are ways for people to determine your online status, no matter what you do.

The only reliable way to be in-world without letting people know about it is to use an alt.
