I know LL is dumping the 30 new sims they've been holding back since August, but I have a feeling that isn't gonna cause a major drop in land prices, maybe take them from around 9.1 per sq.m. (the lowest price on a plot of quality and 512's divisable) to 8 or so if that. 30 sims, dumped 2 or 3 a day isn't gonna change much and the second that dump is over, the market will begin to rebound.
However, if their plans were to expand on the newest continent (I believe it's called Corsica), that is beyond just 30 or so sims, there could be trouble for the market. LL hasn't said anything on this, one way or another, so I don't know what to think. Does anyone know which direction this land dump is going?

The is still about 1/4 of the total sim expanse of the complete Corsica to be added to the Eastern edge where it is now cut off. There is far less granite and way more waterfront in what is to come. The missing bit is more like 3 connected islands than an expands of 'land'.
What will that do to land prices?
In the latest auctions, inland granite Nina cost the equivalent of about L$8.5/metre at auction.
Coastal Fyrebird and Starship went at auction for the equivalents of about L$14/metre. Those two had Protected water sims to the south of them, but it would not be surprising to see 'just plain coastal, with a 16m-wide Linden channel at the edge or going into inlets' being auctioned at something approaching that.
