When including keywords in a land description or classifieds advertisement I have seen them listed several different ways. Which of these works best with the search engines?
Examples:
1. With comma's pre-fabs, house, home, stores, commercial, residential
2. With comma's but no spaces pre-fabs,house,home,stores,commercial,resident
3. Without comma's but with spaces pre-fabs house home stores commercial residential
Clearly either 1 or 2 saves space and allows one to include more keywords in the listing.

The old search sucked badly in that it didn't see substrings, so if you included a comma after a keyword the user needed to type in the comma too in order to get results. Not sure how the new search handles this (gotta be better you'd think), but until every single tab in the search window is using the New Search I'd stick with 3 to be sure.

I never use keywords, maybe I should
I tend to just let the ad be the keywords, but I have noticed a lot of ppl put tons of keywords in their ads

Ads can handle a lot of words. Unfortunately the land description cannot, its not even large enough for me to list all of the different kinds of things that I make, so using keywords seems like a necessity.

to answer the question in the title...
Frequently =)
I think spaces work better, just remember to chain likely combinations together because search seems to (which is why spaces), and be nice to customers by putting keywords at the end with a section title: keywords... easier to find what you want that way, and I tend to avoid places that are just spam lists... ymmv

a friend did a lot of testing. She swears adding commas boosts the rating. I have no idea if that's true though.
