I would like to cover my lot with snow for the Christmas holidays. I purchased snow textures but i can't find any instructions for making the chance from grass to snow . . and I have to get back to grass some point. My search attempts have turned up nothing thats helps. Thanks for any help you can offer.

you will need to create prim snow, so a box...maybe a HUGE prim and put snow texture on it, then place it on your land.
The only way to change the texture of your land is to own the entire island region. This cannot be done on mainland unfortunately.

You'll have to make prims with a snow texture and lay them on the ground. I use the half cut spheres 10x10x3 or 10x8x3 ...something like that. Unless you own an island...then I think you can change the ground texture...not sure about that though. |

There is no parcel-level control of terrain texture.
At a sim-level, it can be changed sim-wide, but only on private islands, by the sim owner. The Lindens will not change mainland textures
So for a land owner, you have two options.
Prims covering the ground, textured like snow.
Or a weather system that generates temp-on rez snow prims or particle snow, to blanket the ground.

Its to bad you paid for snow textures, there are free ones in the Linden "Library" in your Inventory.
