floating in a dictated path .... say I make a prim with a picture and several of them I want to pass alternately past each other as the avatar walks through an opening? Or if I can have them move in set circle path around an avatar and alternate the timing of each one moving? I dont know if I am clear on this. kthxbi

not clear at all.
You can put an animated texture on a prim. It involves making a loooong texture with the frames of the animation stitched together. I'm not at all sure that's what you want, though.

Here's how I would do it.
1. Don't use box prims, use a single megaprim. Or a regular prim, if a 10m circle is big enough for you. 2. Make it a big squatty cylinder. 3. Hollow it out. 4. Make it phantom 5. Apply a transparent texture 6. Make a single loooong texture of your images in Photoshop. Put transparent stripes between them. Save it as something like a 4096x512. 7. Upload the sucker. 8. Apply that texture to the outside face of your cylinder 9. Drop a rotation script in the prim

Oh, I missed that "at random" part.
Yes, a fish swimmy script should do it.
