Up to HERE with the Bots!

I own a store and club. For the past month or so, we're finding bots hanging around, mainly in the store but we have found a couple in the store. They just stand there like robots. If we IM them, we immediately get something back in German. Apparently IM is the trigger because they never say anything in local. I had a friend translate and it's usually a question about freebies but they don't respond to anything said...it's just 3 or 4 phrases over and over. As soon as we ban a bot, another one shows up the next day. I'm wondering if anybody knows anything about this. What are these bots doing? What's their purpose? And who's putting them there??

Set up a fresh alt, go straight to the area where the bots are hanging out, let it hang out for a little while, then see if you get any surprising group invitations or teleport offers (from competitors or related businesses). Sniffing and spamming of that nature really isn't new but it does seem to be on the rise with bot assistance.

I've asked mine and none of them speak German, so they can't be any of those that go out on psrees when I'm not looking
