no idea if it can be fixed or not. it seems that when i make a invisible prim to put over my shins (making the shins not seeable), it completely makes the tail on my character invisible too. ordinarily, i'd guess this is normal, however, that's the ONLY other thing it's doing this too. my head, hands, ears, etc all stay the same, ONLY my tail turns invisible. http://img211.imageshack.us/img211/5775/snapshot001vj1.jpgthat picture explains it better. why is my tail the only other thing it's effecting?

Not fixable....it's an interaction of alpha textures, which I'd guess your other prim parts don't have, but your tail is almost guaranteed to. Happens to me all the time.
