Prefab size VS Parcel size?

I'm wondering what size and prim amount of prefabs most people would be willing to buy. Generally, I know that people have different size plots and all that, but I'm not wondering about actual specific sizes, just amount of the plot taken.

Such as, would you rather have a prefab that takes up half the prims and all of the space, 1/10 the prims and half the plot, as few prims as possible, etc etc

And yes, this is for my own personal gain in part, I make prefabs, and want to know what market I should be aiming for, whether it's full-plot size, half plot size, and so on.

Also, beyond plot size is as I mentioned, the amount of parcel prims used. How many would you comfortably use for just the structure(s) on your land? Half te prims? 1/4? 1/10? More? Less?

Please, wouuld be grateful for any and all replies, and I think more people than just I could benefit.

I'm not adding a poll because that would limit the answers more and I feel people would compromise based on the poll choices more than give full answers that are most useful.

My castle is 60m X 60m and uses somewhere between 500 and 550 prims. I started with a 4096 lot but it just barely fit so I added another 2048 sq m to the front just so there was some free land area. I pretty much decided on the house, then bought enough land for it to fit on.

I would say a good rule is as few prims as possible

I've seen lovely homes for a 512m lot size... and they require you to own half a sim due to the prim count

But I would say try to go for around half at most for the lot size... if it doesn't include a full set of furnishings

My castle is 36 x 52 and 269 prims when I got it. I had already rented a 3120m lot... it fit, barely. The way I had to place it, it had hardly any front yard and a small back yard after adding a crypt in the back. Before I purchased it, I searched for over a week to try to find something with less prims that I liked as well, but every night I would go back to it. Finally I bought it. I removed a few superficial attachments to save a few prims. When the adjoining 1664m parcel became available, I thought about it for a couple hours and envisioned someone else putting a large home there (previous tenant had a skybox). When I went home for lunch, I messaged my landlord and told her I wanted it.

So size and prims are important to me to a point, but when I have my mind set to something I want, I'll find a way to make it work out. I think some people are like that, while other people are on a limited budget and will stay within their limitations. Also I don't think its so much a matter of how big the yard is, as having to worry about how close your next neighbor might be.

For an off-the-cuff number, I'd say anywhere from 1/2 to all of the lot footprint and no more than 1/4 of the prims for a small lot. For a larger piece of land, I'd go proportionally smaller to leave room for landscaping - maybe 1/4 to 1/3 of the lot and an even smaller percentage of the prims.

But then again, I'm a prim miser and I think I'd start to feel twitchy if 1/2 of the prims I had available were tied up in one structure.

3/4 - 4/5 of the lot for smaller lots, reducing the footprint quite a bit as the lot size grows. Max of 1/3 of the prims, maybe no more than 1/4 on large lots.
