I am trying to put together an extensive up to date list on the best motorcycle riding places in SL.

Please include Slurls.

Thx

I can help you out some w/ that...I don't ride as much as I used to but here goes:

"Lil Slurgis" (THE PLACE if you ask a lot of folks...cool track that winds around a mountain, with a nice big ramp jump right across the street from HD Custom Cycles. I personally don't hang around too much due to all the Hell's Angels & Outlaws who are Aryan Nation in RL...never bother to ask the SL ones, great ridin' all the same)

LIL Sturgis 39,50,34

"Mooz Racing SL" (widing race track, good straightaways for drag speed)

Mooz 222,33,32

"SON Village" (good flat & straight roads on a commercial & residential Island)

SON 153,107,27

Busy Ben's Lot and Rezzing Area
(Car & Bike sales lot...out in front theres a huge beach for practice & general dusty aimless riding...to the "east" theres a full winding race track that will challenge your control, great for practice at any level)

Oak Grove 160,68,21

"Metro Town" (Mostly car lots and long straight roads between them...medium lag, not the worst)

Cars 81,226,25

"Midnight City"
(Tight, commercial urban/city downtown area with a lot of shops, a span bridge and plenty of nooks & crannies. You can't rez EVERYwhere...but you can here near the span:)

Midnight City 81,236,26

"Minato Mirai Stadium, Japan"
(Residential with...well a stadium among other small businesses. Pretty sure it's an island...loads real smooth. Long straight well-lit roads intersecting every 'block')

Minatomirai 127,187,22

"MOOZ Rezzing Area" (SL Roads, can be a challenge but the road goes on for quite a while...for some reason I like this ride...rolling hills and connects to highways)

NOYO 222,33,32

Grizedale
(Can't remember much about it right now but I have it in my "Places To Ride" folder so it must be decent lol)
Grizedale 13,229,56

Good luck...I hope this list is gonna be publicly available when ya get done (?)

You can rez vehicles at my Rezzing platfrom in Andraca on a Y intersection of the oldest continent with the biggest & best road network

http://slurl.com/secondlife/Andraca/114/217/36

Also try Calleta, there are a good range of freebie vehicles there you can rez too.

There are six vehicle testing sims just north of the mainland sandboxes. I know one of them is named 'brilliant' but I can't recall the others. You can rez in certain areas of those sims or you can rez your bike in Sandbox Cordova and try to ramp jump into the area.

There are also the corporate sims that have roadways like Nissan, Mercedes, Toyota.

The whole continent of Heterocera (farthest Northwest) has a pretty decent road structure. It also has the train tracks that you could conceivably motorcycle along, but they might be a bit narrow? Not sure.

The House of Tunes sim, do a quick search, is set up for motorcycle riding. They have a nice hilly road, even have a partially raised drawbridge you can jump.

i live in isabella (a bit north of you) and accidently found this road network a few weeks ago. it's great. especially riding on the great linden wall!

actually, they are not narrow for a bike. i HAVE ridden my motorcycle on those train tracks. a very nice "extension" of the already extant road system.

but speaking of the train tracks ... what ever DID happen to the idea of actually running trains along them? i see the train stations were built (in the "contest" from last year). but what about the trains themselves?

the only problem i have seen on this road system .... i did come across the intersection of 4 sims in the middle of the linden road ... sorry but the sim names escape me at this moment. tho it is just slightly northwest of the big white-on-blue "texas" icon as seen in MAP.

but ... who came up with THAT idea running the road thru a 4-sim intersection?

Mooz is awesome riding, but beware the jerks, the last time i went there, they kept grabbing my bike, running us over, crashin into us, setting off mini nukes, etc. so this list is greatly appreciated, thanks :)

There's, uh, probably a lot of things you didn't know about lindens. Another, another interesting, uh, lindenism, uh, there are only three jobs available to a linden. The first is making shoes at night while, you know, while the old cobbler sleeps. You can bake cookies in a tree. But the third job, some call it, uh, "the show" or "the big dance," it's the profession that every linden aspires to.

It took me awhile to find them but I did find a train car last week, more like a trolley car as I recall, and was able to ride it for awhile before it or I crashed crossing a sim border.

Periwinkle infohub has trams run through it every 20min when they are working, not crashed at sim border crossings.

Two other good places (motorcycle’s only)

IronHead

http://slurl.com/secondlife/Daytona/149/185/48

they have a drag strip to check your reaction times and a nice little road course. Plus all the times I’ve been there it’s been low lag if any at all....
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
the other place is The Crossroads …

http://slurl.com/secondlife/The%20Crossroads/151/110/29

Great road course and you can listen to the blues while you ride ….

This is turning out to be a great list...I hope the end product will be available in one spot for the public(?)

I'm gonna go check out some of these other spots I haven't been too now, & make LMs for my Places To Ride folder, haha
