SL 4th Winter Festival Question

A couple of days ago I saw the announcement about the 4th Winter Festival and the registration info on the login page. As it happened I'd been working on a couple of projects (a venue and 2 events) that I felt would fit in perfectly so I went and registered them. So far I haven't heard back one way or the other and it officially kicks off today. Anyone else registered their event and/or venue and had a response yet? Any passing Lindens care to enlighten us mere mortals as to the current state of play?

Kate Linden dedicates her entire office hour (Wednesday from 5pm to 6pm) to the Winter Festival.

I don't even understand what it is even after reading it....
I don't really have energy personally put together a event if I wanted too right now.

The lindens heavily advertised in the blog that there would be a grid-wide snowball fight this last friday...the 21st. But advertised in the blog seems to be all that happened. They said that Linden Lab employees would be "fair game"...that we were all invited to greet them with an accurately thrown snowball...So...My company created a free snowball blaster, and distributed it in world, and made sure that the lindens had copiable dispensers to share with everyone. I waited with anticipation for the 21st to roll around...and then went looking for lindens...to "celebrate" them with a snowball or 50...Problem was that the few lindens that were in world, were either no where to be found...(NONE of them were at their Picks on their profiles)...and the ONE linden that I did finally track down after three hours...had positioned himself on land that would not allow object creation, or object entry...so much for hitting HIM with a snowball. As soon as I brought this to his attention, he said something about having to go to a meeting...and TP'd out.

Additionally, they asked us all to register our Winter Festival Venues, and Events, which it seems some of us actually did do. The problem with this seems to be that I dont see where the Lindens have actually made public where and when the events and venues we registered are actually happening. I looked under "Events"...nothing generated from them there...nothing in the blog...sure they didnt put them in the forums, since only premium accounts can access those...so...perhaps they will be rolling out a new client that will give us the ability to read their minds?...

Come on, lindens...you were the ones that started the holiday celebration...don't drop the ball on this one too!!!

Yes, I'm a little puzzled about the winter festival things too. How do you find out about them? Are events listed in search? Is there a web page? If there was, must have missed it or the announcement about it. So then how do you go about finding out? Surely, you don't have to know that there is a question to ask in order to ask the question in the first place. And this isn't limited to the winter festival. I seem to find out things after the fact.

Anyone else share this frustration?

Update: My Winter Ice-World Fantasy and Live music shows are listed in the Winter Festival HUD. We've had a few visitors so far but not many.... I guess it's early days.
