I left earlier because it was hard to explore much without those annoying Copybot message now I am getting this privately, The object 'COPYBOT SECURITY SYSTEM (ignore this msg)' has sent you a message from Second Life: !quit Hundred times in my im sent to me. How can I get rid of this? At this point the only unique things I made prim wise are probably not unique but my textures are, and all my art work is signed by my real name. I don't have store, I don't plan on this point opening a store or selling my work until I am more experienced and have good unique items. Do I need to be concerned about this?

I think this is the way to mute an object if there is something it said in the chat history: Open the chat history dialog , highlight a line of text made by the offending object, and click the "Mute Resident " button, even though the chat is being made by an object, not a resident.

I threatened my landlord with moving if he didn't clean up the Anti-copybot droids.
Some dumb @$5 decided that they didn't just need 1 copy of the script running; they needed 12. Of course with SL's sensors being funky this thing is detecting people on the far side of the adjacent sim... where my house is. I do not like my peace and quiet disturbed by scripts that generate spam and cause lag.

I am actually growing increasingly frusterated with Second Life. I am right now on governor linden sandbox land it 11 mins after wipe that is suppose to happen no one else is here yet I got copybot !quit messages and sand box if littered. As new player and artist, possible future content creator what good reasons to continue to be member and if I decide to down grade or get rid of account all together next month what can I look forward to in future if I remain? Is it going to get better or just worse? I have met on one hand handful of really nice decent players that is 5 out of what they say is over 1 million residents. I don't mean to complain but just bit grumpy right now and wondering if it was all worth the time and money I spent and if I should just stop now before I get too involved. Tell or show me something good about Second life why you remain resident of Second Life? What do you or how do you create it enjoyable play to live and visit? It seems like the only way I usually ever connect with anyone is here and that is why I am asking in forums.

From: FD Spark Tell or show me something good about Second life why you remain resident of Second Life? What do you or how do you create it enjoyable play to live and visit? It seems like the only way I usually ever connect with anyone is here and that is why I am asking in forums. Just over 6 years ago I discovered the ability to make friends across the world with a text messaging service. Through becoming a 'live helper' on a game support forum ~I met a circle of good friends. Through expanding into the messaging we become 'real' friends bymeeting up in RL. I'm engaged to one of them. My fiancee and I have started in SL and are gobsmacked by the 'feel' of being together physically though we live some distance apart. We spend a lot of time together. For us, the changing clothes/appearance is fun but the real gift is the power of meeting and making new friends. I can appreciate the furore over creators rights and protection but for us at least, the socialising is of the greatest significance. There are many, many lovely people there.
