I built an object (house) well somehow a floating script was added to the house. I have looked in the content folder and there is no script there but when i take the house away the script goes away, so that leads me to believe it is in the house. How do I remove this script if I can not find it and not have to rebuild the house?

I assume you mean floating text. It's a property of a prim and, once set, it doesn't need a script to maintain it. You need to put a script into it to change the text property to nothing. Then you can remove that script.

I had a similar problem, a prim had the floating text after I removed the script. I couldn't get rid of it. Finally, I dropped in a floating text script with an empty text string (just the quotes - ""
. The text went away, I deleted the script, problem solved. If you can figure out which prim is giving you the issue, that might work. |

There'a a handy little script called a "Scrubber" that will delete the properties of a prim that persist even after the script has been removed. Just drop the Scrubber in the contents tab and let it do it's work (like oven cleaner).
If you'd like a copy, just IM "Beebo Brink" inworld and I'll drop one on you. _____________________

Just be sure the house doesn't use other scripts like for windows/doors, etc. If they do that scrubber will stop them from working too. _____________________

You can clone it as well, residual artifacts don't transfer to the cloned prim, then just clone it back into place.
