I have a backpiece right now and i have bought an arm piece as well. Whenever i wear the armpiece, the backpiece disappears Can I not wear two different tats at once? Also, I have bought nipple piercings that do not show when I wear them. Does it have anything to do with my skin? Help please?

Tats are clothing items that are worn. For the top you get to have 3 layers undershirt, shirt and jacket. If your two sets of tats are both of the same layer then wearing one will replace the other. The trick is to find tats that give you all layers for the money and then you will be able to wear an undershirt for one tat and a shirt for another - leaving the jacket to give you some modesty Hopes this helps EDIT: If your nipple piercings are prim-based then you should adjust them to be more visible - and changing clothing skin has no effect on them unless the colour of the clothing/skin blends closely with the color of the prims. If the piercings are drawn on to a clothing layer that you wear then it will be falling foul of sharing the clothing layer with your tats.

Sounds like all 3 of those are using the same clothing layer to apply to the AV.
See if you can put one on as an undershirt layer, one as a shirt layer, and one as a jacket layer.
Of course, this eliminates the opportunity of wearing a shirt of any kind, but then again, I'm guessing that's not your goal anyway, if you wish to show off the artwork.

Thanks y'all for your replies. I do wear alot of tank tops so I'd like the tats to be seen. as for the nipple piercings, its for those intimate times, or at the beach So, as long as I dont have more than 3 (undershirt, shirt, and jacket) I just have to put them on different layers. I'm not in world right now to try this...s'posed to be workin...sssh. Could you explain how I separate the layers? Is it "attach to..." then pick the layer?

Hi Kevo,
Regards the layers thing - no unfortunately you do not get to choose the layer an item of clothing is worn on - the designer of the item does. Some tats are sold with a version for each layer though so you can choose which to use - sadly it is not used everywhere.

From: Kevo Lefavre Could you explain how I separate the layers? You can't, unless the vendor also included the texture. Then you'd go into Appearance, create a new undershirt/shirt/jacket, and apply the texture.

You can tell which layer a piece of clothing is on by its icon in your inventory ... undershiirt layers look like blue tank tops, shirts like blue shirts, and jackets are red with long sleeves.
Attachments (e.g. hair, jewelry, flexi skirts) look like a box. If your nipple rings have an icon that looks like a box, then they are attachments and may be showing up INSIDE your body ... this happens a lot with belly rings. If this is the case, one way around it is to make yourself really really skinny using the "body thickness" and "body fat" sliders (SAVE YOUR CURRENT SHAPE FIRST!!) so you can see the rings, then move them way out from your body. Put your normal shape back on, and move them into place. .

Thanks everyone for the input. It looks like I have some tinkerin to do when I get home. Btw, how do I tell if the piercings are prim-based? And if they are, do I edit then look for a tab to make them more visible? (assuming that they're not inside my chest) They are in a box btw

As Nika said, prims based attachments are the same as all other prims based items and in your inventory they have a box icon - (or a sort of rubics cube icon sometimes) . To reposition these you need to right click on the item whilst it is worn on your avatar's body and choose edit from the pie menu that appears, then you can choose Position and the position arrows appear that allow you to move the attachment in relation to the avatar. So in your case you might need to move the attachments forwards slightly because the piercings might have become embedded in your avatar's body slightly (different shapes can cause this to a greater or lesser degree).

Ah gotcha. Earlier, I thought you were talking about adjusting the color to make them more visible. I dont suppose that there is a way to tell what layer a tattoo will be on before I buy it is there? I'd hate to buy another only to find out that I cant wear it with my others. And back to the resizing the shape to get my piercings...I dont think I can mod my shape. I bought it. Its a celebrity mold (or whatever they call it) so am I sol?

That is difficult often - if the vendor uses the Buy option you can see the icons before you buy them, with the Pay system you don't get that though sometimes the advert will tell you, sometimes not.

I thought all vendors using the Pay option had to have a script in it? Is that incorrect?

No clue. Maybe it's just single item vendors then...I know it often works with the 'Pay' option.

From: Kevo Lefavre And back to the resizing the shape to get my piercings...I dont think I can mod my shape. I bought it. Its a celebrity mold (or whatever they call it) so am I sol? If you can't mod the shape you've got, you can replace it with a new shape (or one from the Library in your inventory). Make the body thin and get rid of body fat as suggested and you may be able to reach the rings. Just be sure to remember where the current one is so you can put it back on when you're finished. I have a folder with my preferred shape, eyes, bald cap, hair, etc so I can alway go back to my preferred look after I'm done fooling around with my appearance. I can remember being terrified as a newbie that I would change my appearance and not be able to look like me again! If you are very comfortable with editing objects and finding small prims while you're working on them, you can also attach the nipple rings to a different attachment point (so if they're normally worn on chest, try spine or chin), pull them a good distance from your body, take them off and reattach to the original point. This should put them out where you can get to them and carefully edit back into place.

Ctrl-Shift-R will put you into wire frame mode so you can see inside your av's body. Hit the sam keys again to go back to normal view.

Right: A vendor gets the "Pay" pie-menu option when there's a script inside, in a state that handles the "money" event. But scripted vendors may still contain the objects being sold (not limited to a single item). There is, however, a popular subset of scripted vendors that are "networked", which means that the objects for sale are actually somewhere else, so with networked vendors you couldn't look inside to see what layer you're buying.

Thank you every1 for the helpful replies...i went home last night and used a smaller shape. There they were! I edited them to pull them out, went back to my shape, and moved them in just far enough so they looked like they are attached. And now they are too far apart! UUGHH. I saw that there is a "stretch" option but I didnt see a "shrink". Can I move only one of the rings? Ty

Ty Stretch also shrinks, up to a point...you just push the 'handles' toward the object rather than pulling them away. It's actually more like 'Resize.' You can move one ring at a time if you check the 'Edit Linked Parts' box, but it can be kind of a pain if the rings are made from several prims because you have to move each one individually.

I shrinked it as far as it would go but they're still too far apart. I'll try you suggestion when I get home. Ty. If I can't get it to shrink enough to look good, I might rotate it to where one is inside my chest and the other will be right on the spot.
