Hello! I was wondering if when I delete a contact from my inventory, do I disappear from the other persons contact list as well? Would like to know as last night I managed to get pretty mad at 2 people on my list and decided I would just like to avoid their negative, hostile energy. /me hopes they forget my name /me mutes
LOL
thanks!

If you remove a name from your friends list, your name will also be removed from their list. Your business card will remain in their inventory, however.

They will not see you come online - but if they actually look at the contact it will pull up your profile and they can see your status there.

you know what! I have really asked the wrong thing as I have signed in and checked.... I have deleted their calling cards. I suppose they will still have mine then?
I want to be removed from theirs if at all possible.....or the hidden online option if it ever becomes available!
Thanks for the quick reply!

Thanks for the quick reply! If you don't want them to know your whereabouts, why did you befriend them or give them a calling card in the first place?

Thanks for the quick reply! I have never deleted a calling card, so no idea what's supposed to happen there. If I use the Friends list and delete people there, they can't see me on their friends list, although supposedly they'll still have my calling card. Only thing defriending does is keep them from seeing the blue notifications when you go online/offline, and also prevents them from mapping you if you had earlier given them mapping privileges. (I imagine the same is true for object rights too?) Unless you have the option enabled to only show online status to friends, there are like 5 different ways anyone can tell that you're online, and even if you're hiding there are still ways to find you.

Under preferences there is a box to check off so only friends and groups can see you online. If they are not on your friend list or in a group you are in,they shouldn't be able to see you online anymore.

The calling card is not deleted. From personal experience, you can look at your calling cards and if they are online, it will be bold and say "online."

You don't even need the card, just use Search, find a person, and open an IM window to them. From: Lindal Kidd You don't even need the card, just use Search, find a person, and open an IM window to them. Sure, but I think there might be extra steps that way. The calling cards do not get removed from the other person's inventory, unless they delete it, and the OP was wondering about 2 ex-friends.

From: Lindal Kidd If you don't want them to know your whereabouts, why did you befriend them or give them a calling card in the first place? To tell you the truth...when I started on sl, it was nice to have a couple friends to help me as they are more experienced and (I thought) trustworthy..... In rl I get embarrassed by other peoples comments towards the opposite sex. I don't go out of my way to ridicule anyone for being a bit lost or maybe not so attractive. Also I don't go out of my way to push people around and be an asshole for the sake of being an asshole...... It is real nice to be offered a teleport to some location so I can be asked "what do you think of the tits on her?" Or "hey, lets go to (any location), there are some nOOBs here! time for fun!" Though I appreciated the help in January when I started, I owe them nothing and (as in rl) lost interest in hanging around with them...... If I have a jerk on my myspace page, I delete them. the same action should go on sl as well!
